Projects have ranged from interior to exterior site specific murals, public and private
commissions.  Successfully having worked on over 30 murals Jose has been painting in and
around the southern California area for 10 years. Working with public art has been a
common practice since his teenage years as an apprentice to other accomplished artists
and muralists. Because of this he has  been able to paint murals as far as Mexico and
Australia.

Current commissions have included historical murals for the city of Long Beach, and
educationally themed artworks for the Long Beach and Los Angeles Unified School Districts.
Aside from painting murals Jose has worked for the City of Long Beach Mural and Cultural
Arts Program as lead conservancy and restoration artist. Over the past 8 years he has been
involved in the oversight and restoration of over 130 murals in the city of Long Beach. Other
duties with the city include; program coordination, youth instruction and mural project
